An interpretation of a scene from LAG, a graphic novel I am writing. I drew this for my girlfriend, and I got the idea to draw it when thinking what I should draw for her. She gets one half and I get the other, when I see her again next month.
Lots of different meanings in this one, as well as a lot of detail. I'm pretty proud of it, learned a lot while making it.
This version has slight alterings, as I text new brushes and filters I've developed.
Note on transparent pngs: 1) they always seem to show up as black for transparency for the thumbnail view,
2) when you export the png, you should opt to 'merge visible layers' instead of 'flatten image'... or at least that's what you would do in the gimp. You might consider doing 'merge visible', and then deleting the invisible layers and then try saving.
Alas traditional ways always kick in. On topic this piece is very nice, im sure she'l love it. Very heart warming and yet still surreal with the cloverfield/ aliens invasion in the backdrop.
